Codes & Standards

Various Minimum Energy Performance Standards and building energy codes provide guidance on the selection and use of efficient air conditioning systems. Few standards emphasize on efficiency of the air conditioning system and component technology improvements within. Whilst some other standards emphasize on the Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) in relation to each other and also in relation to other energy end uses in a building following a holistic approach towards building energy performance.

The following table gives information of few worldwide standards and codes related to energy efficiency in air-conditioning.
